495 miles - comments and one question...
Into my second week of ownership and I absolutely love this car! I have always loved getting a new toy, but I honestly can't wait to get behind the wheel every morning. The one thing I am trying to get used to is the fact that this car inhales gasoline! I have been driving BMW's 6 cylinders for so long that I just assume I can get 400 miles to a tank.
Here's my question, when I start the car up the engine rumbles for a couple seconds. After that no worries. Anything I should be concerned about?

That's v8 rumble baby! ;-)
And the gas will get better with mileage. You still have the 1k mark to go.
then the 3k mark, and finally the 5k mark! They all have their own achievements. And the engine just keeps getting better and better!!

One more thing...
I decided to bite the bullet and go with the V60 kit. Called Clair parts and talked to Barry. I was really impressed with him! I have called around to a couple of parts departments and was not impressed with most of them. As we say around here, Barry's good people.

I've had my car for 1.5 weeks now. The gasoline isn't as bad as I thought it would be. Then again I'm coming from a G35 coupe which is not exactly good on gas either. I too have noticed that when I start up the engine, the car rumbles and actually shakes a bit. It only lasts a moment, then it idles smoothly. Also, after I kill the engine, it sounds like the cooling fan stays on for a few seconds afterwards, and it is notably loud.
