BMW is a Step Ahead....
They have just realeased their newest accessory. Fully Integrated iPod. Connects through the Glove box, and you can scroll throught the playlist using the steering wheel controls. Also track name shows up on display....

Yeah, and if you have Nav, or Dsp, or both, or some other arcane combination of BMW options you can forget about it. On my '02 X5, I happen to have Nav, DSP and have a build date prior to 9/02 or somewhere along those lines, so I'm screwed if I want Sirius or IPod access. Yeah, it's limited alright.

please forgive my ignorance but are you using XM and a phat box unit. Asked dealer about it and he did not seem to care for it. I have about 40 gig recorded so that was what I was looking into but he said it was one or the other. How do you like the phat box
