clutch take up? does your engage right above the floor or is it engage a inch or two above floor....

was hoping to install a clutch stop for wife hen ours got here ....but if engages righ above floor - you can gain much out of this.

I drove a Caddie CTS-V yesterday and the clutch in that car has the shortest travel of any
car I have ever driven - push it in about two inches - no more and it is ON the floor. Of course that was the best part of the car - next was the engine....just didnt have the handling FEEL of my M3 and the interior is no where near an Audi.

Pretty tight. The play action is very smooth and fluid, but the friction point is very tight.
My clutch doesn't engage until about 1/2 from the floor to full release. I'd say I have a good 1.5"-2" before I get friction.

Hehehe...same with the Z8.
I drove it over the weekend and it just makes my car seem SO slow.
With 8 throttle bodies that thing kicks. And all I use it about 500-600 rpms in each gear when rowing through the gears, it's literally....

It's so fast. I love it. :-D
