Default Suppose a Stock B5 is running a B6 with Milltek from 40mph-100mph, what is the likely outcome if the

B6 has an additional weight of 250 lbs due to a passenger. And what about from 10mph-80mph same scenario?

Default You should kill him, if he's really stock...

from 10mph, it may start out a bit more even from the weight and torque advantage the B5 will have, but you'll run away on the high end.

Can be tricky tho, the B5 will weigh less, and it makes quite a bit of torque (stock B5 makes peak torque at 1800rpm)

Default The B6 should put a couple car lengths on the B5 in that 40-100mph run.

The 10-80mph race, might be a little closer. After 70mph though, I think the B6 will be about a car length ahead.

Have you encountered this scenerio?

Default Good article by the don...

If you just look at the 0-100 chart you can approximate the 40-100 at 13.8 for the stock B5 and 12.0 for the stock B6 probably a bit better with the Milltek. So for arguements sake lets say a 2 second difference for them to reach 100.

Keep in mind...

"The following data was collected assuming generally "normal" driving techniques. You won't find any clutch frying 5,000 RPM launches or power shifting in this shootout. Standing starts were done at 2200 RPM with drivetrain friendly launches. The goal here was to replicate the performance a driver would be likely to achieve in daily driving. Default It really depends on driver. Being equal, the B6 is faster..

But a B5 with chip/exhaust will walk B6.

Default ??? In what span of time? In what distance??

A stock B6 will gradually and continually pull away from a stock B5. The number of car lengths will increase the longer that the two drivers stay on the gas.
