Oil Leak in S4 with only 197 miles on it!

Oil Leak in S4 with only 197 miles on it!

I'm hoping this is a simple fix, but I purchased my car about 2 weeks ago and it has less than 200 miles on the clock and I have already noticed a small gathering of oil on my garage floor every morning. I would say that the oil is collecting right in the middle of the engine area based on where the car is parked. The car is parked on a very level/flat surface. With only 200 miles on the car, there's no way this was not already happening when the car was still sitting on the dealers lot.
I'm looking for any insight as to what the leak might be at 200 miles! Also, if this turns out to be something "significant", I'm thinking I should ask them to get me another car rather than fix this one. Thoughts?

are you sure it is oil and not water from the A/C???

Hey - warranty are a good thing and will cover it.

Power steering pumps can leak too - a common problem

JDBlue and I both had crank shaft oil seal leaks with low miles. Mine at 800, his I think less than

1000. Then we had to wait 3-4 weeks for parts and tools, but now they should have parts and it is an easy repair. Apparently some of the seals were pressed in a little crooked. 11,000 miles on the car now and I haven't used a drop of oil.

I had fluid leak at 200 miles, but it was tranny, not oil.

It was a simple fix once they found the source. A gasket/o-ring was pinched during production causing the leak. Hardly any chance of getting a new car for a leak unless the problem is sympton of something much much larger.

same for the most part......

about 3k after my 5k service i added about 1/2 a qt of oil.

Had an oil leak in the head gasket at 600 miles. Two weeks to fix. No probs since.

Have your dealer throw it on a lift and find the source of the leak, shouldn't be too difficult...

if it's actually dripping. Seeping is worse IMO. Those are the ones you never see because they never drip, but they seep out of the housing and just accumulate under the car.

I had a seepage coming from my PTO on my old engine. Never saw any drips, but when it ws up on the lift that's when we noticed it. *sigh*...
