Lifting the S4

Well the JC Whitney blocks arrived, so I started to experiment w/ lifting the S4. Turns out that the rubber lifting blocks that I use for the 911s work perfectly. As Alan stated the Whiney blocks work great w/ a floor jack

As soon as I saw his I went digging thru the online catalog at snapon. I dont think that is the one but I would certainly take that one. Hope he will give us details....................

<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/379/8_14_04__007.jpg"></center><p>Yeah, that's the one. They had them on sale last year for a tad over $2k. It's not as useful for an Audi as for a 911. Look for a used one, they do pop up now and then.
The 2x12s are for clearance to drive a car on, doubled for a very low car like a race 911.
I have a reinforced concrete floor but aluminum pads spread the load even better.
