The jacks in our cars suck.......
Had a blowout/puncture this weekend on one of my new Toyos - not the tires fault, I hit something lethal at speed. So I pull over, find a flat area and line the jack up at the designated point at front of car...replace tire, etc...As I begin to remove the jack, I notice that it left two deep gouges in the lower body panel as it came down - freaking nice huh? It's way at the bottom, so only I notice, but geez, you think Audi could have designed a system that stays a bit further away from body parts?
Also be aware, putting the jack back in it's case is a pain in the *** - make sure you notice how the thing goes in before you take out, what a bitch that was two.

After reading about all of the awful jack experiences on this forum...
...I was *almost* anxious to try it out myself. Luckily a few weeks ago I had that opportunity after being bumped by a bus! I didn't have any problems, but to get the car high enough off the ground I had to extend the jack almost up to its full height. I was sweatin' bullets, to say the least, because a) the car/jack teetered precariously as I removed the old/replaced the new wheel and b) I was in the middle of San Francisco during rush hour and quite a crowd had gathered!
