New car on the way. Looking for wheel/tire opinions.
I'm in that fuzzy time right before the Dolphin 6spd Avant you ordered long ago comes off the ship and have a little to much nervous energy to sit patiently. So I've been plotting and planning.
I have a chipped allroad with Pilot A/S and they've been good tires. But, I have a BBS/Pilot Alpin winter combo on my wifes ALMS TT that is great.
I'm sold on the winter tire route. So here's my plan for comments.
1. Buy a set of 19" RS6 relpicas and tires like the deal @Achtuning.
2. Pull the originals off and sell them.
3. Buy an unspecified (I've got a couple of months!) winter tire wheel combo.
How's the 19" ride compard to the 18"?
Is there a market for the originals? I live in Chicagoland.
Is and 18" snow setup crazy? We don't have nasty winters and if we get that once or twice a year "storm of the century" I'll just drive my wifes TT!

Sounds pretty on par. I love those RS6 wheels too
I'd say the only thing to expect is not to run the 19's in the winter, as the roads will give you a bit too much feedback / harsh,but then the 18's with a stock set up are fine.
if you look about 6 months back when snow was around and new s4 owners commented on it. they'd said it wasn't that bad.
now 19's in the snow. that's a NO NO... but then you already knew that...
btw, congrats on the car coming, you won't believe how much better it is after 5000 miles!

19" RS6's in deep snow 12" Falken Azenis 115 tires
