Question regarding from bass
has anyone tried to install upgrade to bass part of our music systems with NO external chages to panels/interior?
I am looking in to possibilities to add frontal bass with Focal Utopia 5WS and change of front components.

Haven't done my system yet. But it's just like any other car...
Just make sure that you buy speakers that match the factory sizes. 6.5" woofers and 1.1" tweets. The subwoofer is 9". A good installer will make a larger speaker fit. I won't cut the doors, but I may force a nice free-air 10" in the rear package tray to replace the 9" factory sub. I know, I know, free-air is not as efficient as a good enclosure nor will it produce bass as accurately. But I want to maintain the factory look as much as possible. And the 10" JL will provide much improved bass over the stock 9" pancake speaker.

There is a whole lot of custom work done on that car. Honestly, the Focal Utopias would be a HUGE difference over the Bose setup in terms of sound quality and crispness. Focals are known for their outstanding sound quality. I had a pair of polyglass 6.5" components in my Blazer a while back and they sounded amazing.
Our stock Bose setup has a "sub" in the trunk which produces most of the bass in the setup. I don't know if you just wanted to drop the Utopias in, but that would be a waste to run them off of the Bose amp. You would have to install the Utopias and run a separate amp in the trunk to power them. Even still, if you wanted to run the Utopias with the stock Bose setup, you probably wouldn't hear them because the Bose distorted bass would be louder than the crisp low end of the Utopia woofer. In my opinion, you would have to change out the Bose setup to get the sound that you want. If you just want to add a woofer and run it off of an amp and have in coincide with the stock stereo, you would be better off getting a cheaper sub. I don't know if JL makes a 5" woofer but they make 6" ones. Maybe one of those in each door or by the kick panel. That would save you money and sound probably the same.

You'd have to do some fabrication... Honestly...
I don't see the point in adding a 5 3/8" subwoofer to the front (it only goes down to 45Hz). I mean, I do understand the need for some effective bass reproduction in the front, but I don't see how this is going to be any better than just replacing the front 6.5 inch woofers (which may actually go lower) in the doors with a very good aftermarket speaker. No fancy enclosure, no cutting, good bass. I'd recommend replacing the factory sub in the rear. An excellent sub will be transparent. The location should be invisible to your ears. That's my humble recommendation FWIW.
