Finally took my car in to get the tweeter in the front driver's side looked at. . .

The tech said that they removed a ton of grease from the wiring or something which has been known to cause problems. . .evidently this is a common problem? The problem seems to be gone, but he said if it comes back then they will replace the speaker.

A few other interesting things I saw while at the Dealership. The Dealership owners Diablo is for sale for $134,000 and was on display. . Beautiful car! I had to kick myself in the *** for not bringing my camera!

One more thing. . A white B6 S4 with CHROMED stock AVUS wheels

If anyone is thinking about doing this, DON'T! They looked HORRIBLE!

i have this problem, but they keep telling me nothing is wrong just reception...

i keep telling them that i should not have a reception problem with cd's and i pod but they won't do a thing. any more info would be great!!!

it's overpriced...I believe it's a 94 or 95? and the HREs on it look like crap.

Ditto, my stereo seems to have lost some bass as welll

And they cant figure it out.

hmmmmmm. I didn't get much information . . .except that they come

from the factory with a ton of grease on the wiring or something like that. The tech acted like it is something they see all of the time and the 1st step is to remove the all of the grease and that usually fixes the problem. He said that the common symtom is crackling in the speaker, but mine actually seemed to be cutting in and out, but I could make it come back by messing with the volume. Changes in the weather seemed to make it better or worse. . .

Not sure if you are having the same problem, but that is what I was told was done to fix mine. A little time should tell if it is a permanent fix or if my speaker needs replaced.

Didn't look too bad to me. . only 10k miles on it. . .but I wouldn't

know the first thing about shopping for a used Diablo. . . .I didn't notice the shape of the HRE's, but I did notice that wide *** rear tire with like a 335/25. . .

Didn't see your orig. problem, but my drivers door tweeter...

is making a popping/clicking noise when the radio is on... I don't notice it w/ the CD's though... I also haven't climbed around the car yet to see if the other speakers are affected... It's driving me nuts though; anyone else having this problem??
