Almost 1 month later....Car is still in the shop!!
My s4 has now been in the shop for almost 1 month and still no car. You may or man not recall, I got in the car about 1 month ago and noticed a "knocking" sound from the engine. Since our s4's are "specialty" cars, the dealer must get the OK from Audi before doing any major work on the car.
Audi's solution was to replace the cam adjusters so after 3 weeks or so of waiting for the backordered part, it arrived. They installed it, put it back together, and started it up....The noise was still there!!!
Finally about 1 hour ago, Audi gave them the O.K. to replace the entire motor. Here is the real kicker...There are NO s4 motors in the country and the ones in Germany are backordered!!!
It's a game of hurry up and wait...I'll keep you updated....
