mpg?
My current drive to work is around 100 miles a day, mostly highway. Anyone else have similar drives, adn what kind of mileage do you get. wife works in the enviornmental field, and that is an issue for us.

not that a prius
isn't a good car, but not that sports.. i need a fun daily driver too..had the old s4.. but got good mileage.. 20 mpg.. i am going to have to fill up everyother day at 30 bucks a pop.. might get expsensive...

not 26 Mpg on the sticker FWIW. here's what I'd do!
depending on your "needs/vs./wants"
when you think fun? sports? etc... do you need much space?
here's a solid list of fun, good sportscars that aren't huge on space, but huge on fun and not bad on gas mileage (my opinion)...
RX-8 (bout 18-23 mpg)
Miata
Boxster
boxster S
Z-4 BMW
S2000 (very very fun!)
A4 3.0 sedan (bout as good as you can get (mid 20's MPG & fun & refined (but I'm biased).....
honestly I could list a gillion more, but if you let me know "what criteria are most important and what are "deal breakers" that'll help me/ us figure out what you should be considering ya know?

This is certainly not the car to get if you are worried about gas mileage
Even with your long commute you will be lucky to average over 20 MPG. Not only that, but the gas tank is small so in your case you will be filling up every three days or so.
But know this, the car is a blast to drive! You will just need to decide what is more important to you...

Your old S4 got 20 mpg and you considered that good?
I get about 310-330 highway miles on a tank, filling when the computer says I have 0 miles left. That works out to a consistent 19.5-21 mpg calculated.
Not sure where you are getting the 26 on the sticker. My 6MT was rated at 15/21 (the tips were 18/24 IIRC).
