Default planning on changing oil this weekend, but...
my local shop which usually does my oil changes has a regular car lifts... reading the manual that says that our cars should only be lifted at the dedicated points made me think that I need to get some kind of adapters to put there since shops' lift has just a flat faced arms?
any recommendations?

Default The car doesn't really need to go on a lift to get an oil change...
only reason would be to drain the oil, and you can do that on a set of ramps.

Default I wouldnt wanna be any where near the sump when 9.5 quarts comes rushing out....

Default At the dealers they just go steel on steel. I prefer some padding in between

Default Yea, that junk is HOT. But he just needs to make sure that the shop he goes to..
has a container big enough to take all that oil. ;-)
