Finally raced a Lightning

Well I sold my Lightning to buy the S4. I had my first encounter with one on Sunday. I was washing my car at the Texas car wash by my house and he pulled in when I was drying off the car. I knew the guy from around the neighborhood and started to BS. Told him I sold everything except my custom sub box. He was interested so he followed me home. The first light we pull up to after the car wash is red of course!!!. He revs, I give him one back, light changes and I drop it at like 3500 and immediately put 5 to 7 car lengths on him. He just stood there spinning I guess. The one thing I miss is that even though I was 7 cars in front of him, had my windows up and my radio on low I still heard his blower scream. He had chip, pulley, and exhuast and the truck is probably capable of running 12.9's with the mods he had. I was pretty excited and made sure all my L buddies knew.
Got to my house and he bought my sub box for $600 (full asking price). Not a bad day, cleaned the car, had a kill, made some money, and now can walk in my living room now that the box is out of there.

LOL! Better than my day.

Drove the beater (Honda). Spent $75 on rotors for the beater. And got my a$$ kicked by some old lady in a Buick on the way to work. *sigh*

Oh yeah? Well, I raced a GMC Yukon!!

Last week, I dropped my GF off at school. On the way back home, some putz in a Yukon pulls out in front of me as I'm doing about 45. I brake heavily, and then he then proceeds to putz around to the next light. When it turns green, he turns left (the same way I was going) and floors it. I follow suit, but since there's only one lane, I stay behind. We get to the next light, and the road splits into two lanes.

He floors it again, and moves to the left lane. I floor it, and pass him on the right like he's standing still. I then shut down, since it was no fun.

Well, he decided that he wouldn't give up. He had a car in front of him, but couldn't get in front of me in time, slammed on his brakes, swung behind me, then around me. I just smiled and waved as he went past...

Oh yeah? Well, I'm glad I didn't race the beast to the right of the Yukon XL!

Terrible pictures with Treo 600 camera phone but ...

I'm shooting through my S4 windshield and passenger window - so I should meet the criteria for Audi material ;-)
