Default CEL on for 2nd time. First time there was a faulty temp sensor at 1500miles. Now what. Also...
should I mention the engine whine and rattle or is that normal ?

Whine and rattle at startup is normal.

Are you talking about a clunking sound on reverse when the car is cold, 'cause I'm hearing this now and it's new.

I notice it after startup for a several minutes in areas with my windows down and there is an echo.

Default Reverse has no syncro attached to it, so your hearing the slack being taken up in the tranny.
Not an issue.
