i know it's been covered- but how do you guys feel about the scheduled oil change interval
i have nearly 12k miles and didn't get it changed at 10k. It makes me uncomfortable (not that there is anything wrong with the car). Are most of you waiting until 15k?

Look at the transparency of the oil on the dipstick. You are checking this aren't you?
If the oil still have translucent qualities then there is probably no reason to be concerned at all.
If it's pitch black and looks gritty on the paper towel when you wipe the stick, then yank it out.
So far this car seems to need oil changes far less frequently than my olde B5 S4 biturblow did....

Change it yourself. The oil filter is accessed from the top of the engine and you can drain the oil
without getting under the car with one of those contraptions that sucks the oil out through the dipstick tube. The labor you'll pay for two oil changes will pay for the oil-sucker thingy. After that, they're free!!!*
