SAFE locking question again. Nobody seems to know what this is.

Any insight would be appreciated. I gather it is some sort of a deadbold system. The Bentley CD shows lock motors in the doors as well as (SAFE Lock) motors. Could it be the feature that locks the doors at a programmable speed?

No. it is something that happens a few minutes after locking. Like deadbolts.

I don't think it's anything special.

Maybe "Safe" is poor translation of "Child Safety". I seriously doubt there is a deadbolt-like system in our car, as we would be able to see evidence on the doors and doorframes. Also, the liability risks would be massive. What makes you think there is a deadbolt?
