Yet another Dolphin Avant...but it's mine!

05 6M, black/silver Alcantara. Ordered the car end-August, and took delivery last Saturday. Still getting used to all this POWER...coming from a GTI, so it's another animal entirely. As you all know, of course.
Anyway, I've pinged a few of you local Berkeley folks in the last several months, so now I'm ready for an actual gtg... Sia, Jim, anyone else, maybe after the holidays we can meet up?
Last, here's a quick, mildly embarrasing story...stopped by the Oakland dealer this morning (not where I bought the car) and as I was leaving, the engine sputtered and died. Should have listened to the low fuel chime yesterday!! I think I only got about 20 miles or fewer since it went off. One of the sales guys helped me push the car into a spot, then another -- Steve Hyland --drove me to the nearest gas station with a can. One gallon later, and I'm back in business. This helpfulness was way beyond the call of duty, and very much appreciated after my actual delivery experience at another store (which I'll write up later). So, if you're looking for a car in Oakland, ask for Steve Hyland. And if you're a noob, pay attention to that damn fuel alarm!

Startled me at VIR going 130mph down the front stretch
said 45miles left, did one lap 3.27mi said 5mi left, went one more lap after being questioned by the instructor and definetly 0. Had to drive 8mi to nearest gas station with fingers crossed and praying, made it with .7gallons left. brought a 5gal can the next time just in case. Not paying the $5 a gallon for race gas.

Congrats! I'm down in the south bay...
go to the Stanford Mall on Sat. by Bloomingdale's at 10am. There will be a gathering of Euro cars for the Toys for Tots drive. Might be a good time to break in your car (or at least show up to meet some other Audi folk).
