Considering CPO B6 S4 Avant purchase some questions
Anyone know if I will need to pay the GG tax if the car is used? Also would any of you trust buying a CPO 2004 S4? or would it be better to wait and get a brand new one? It's got 14,500 miles, and it's in pretty decent shape with exception of some dings. It's stock (no premium nav or satellite) and they want about 45k for it. Is that a good deal? I figure I could talk them down, maybe to 42 or 40? Thanks in advance!

I checked kbb and and edmunds and it seemed to be priced about on par. I figure I could get it down to 40k. What do you think would be a fair price to pay?

Re: I wouldn't pay that if it had dings that couldn't be repaired by paintless dent repair.
I know. I won't walk away without the dings repaired. So what would you or anyone on this board pay for a car in that condition?

As low as you can get them to go ...
some here have mentioned getting new 04's for what they're asking for this one used. I paid a bit more than that for my 04 back in September but I'm still happy with the deal I got. It all depends on how much you want the car and how desperate they are to get rid of it. Best of luck in your negotiating.
