Ok, I think this is a good question to ask...
There are certainly risks involved with modifying the car but as JD says,"You gotta pay to play".
I do not know of any cases where Audi has voided entire warranty. If you have an issue with a factory part that they can blame the failure of such part on an aftermarket part they will do so.
Its a gamble to be honest. There are many who have your wish list already installed and have run for many miles with no problems. One thing to keep in mind, If you have a chip and something happens with the engine you better be prepared to spend $25K to replace the motor. Audi is very well aware of chipped vehicles and are prepared to stick you with the cost of engine replacement should something really serious happen. My recommendation is to buy a second ECU that will be kept stock for dealer visits.
