Which should I do: LE-30 or V1 in Portland, OR

Which should I do: LE-30 or V1 in Portland, OR
I'm inclined to go LE-30. I have one laser ticket already.
I'm figuring in traffic, I don't speed so much when V1 catching stray radar would help.
Open road is a different story. Instant on radar V1 won't help unless I get lucky with a car way on ahead. LE-30 could help me in that situation.
Obvioulsy get both eventually but only have $ for one, and need wheels/tires/exhaust/DP/Hyperflow yet!

No, no, no ...I know that
but what I'm saying is...more cops out here local to portland metro use laser now. seems like my biggest risk, given my driving habits. So, instant on radar...open road...v1 don't help. Instant on laser...open road...le-30 could save me.
speed trap in town, photoradar stands, etc. v1 would help but I don't see those much and don't speed in areas where they are...

I see what you're saying...but I would still get the V1.
Actually, a used passport 8500 should be available for less than $200. That's probably the best value out there...then save for an LE-30. While you're saving for the LE-30, you'll just have to adjust your driving, and make a habit of following a rabbit (that rhymes!).

Are there any statistics available that show how many laser vs. radar guns
are in WA and OR's possession? That's probably the best indicator available. As it stands, lasers guns are still more expensive than radar guns, and from an administrative standpoint, they both perform the same function. Even the states that have adopted laser have not exceeded a >50% threshold in their fleets. Of course it's been over a year since I've seen any kind of meaningful articles on the matter.
