Stock tire question, how long will they last?
Got my car in late March and now have 7K on the Conti's. I would assume that they will be shot at 15k or so. Some of you high mileage guys, share your experince. Have a great weekend.

I've got 30K on the odo....
Maybe 20-22k of that was on the stock tires, and that includes 11 track days.
As Alan says, the problem with these tires is that they don't wear. :-)
I've still got plenty of depth on the tires, but I'm not putting them back on in the spring (I've got the winter tires on now). Replacements will probably be the F1s or maybe PS2s....

Took car to dealer today for TSB tensioner and asked about tire wear....
At my last 10K service they noted my front tires had zero tread depth left. I asked them about the sheet of paper they left in my car showing this. They got the tech who wrote it and he said the reading was from the outside edge of the front tires, meaning I had been taking corners at a high rate of speed. All I said was "Who me?"

Mine went to tire hell at about 8,000...
I had to switch to winter tires, and there was no way in hell I was putting these pieces of rabid rabbit dung back on my car, despite having a good amount of tread left (even after two track events).
They just don't grip enough...
