Dealer "re-calibrated" the computer to stop "misfires"
I got a follow-up call from my dealer today regarding my ongoing "misfire" problem. He said that they finally connected the car to the computer system and "re-calibrated" some things in the computer and so far the car has not re-set the misfire code. Can anyone tell me what they have really done to my car? Even the service manager told me that he's very "nervous" about how well it will work....so much so that he said if the CEL light comes on, just go ahead and keep driving the car and bring it back in next week. This just does not sound right to me.

well mis fires could be any number of things,
bad coil pack, bad wireing harness, bad injector, bad gas. Any number of things can cuase it. All they can really do is reset the ECU. Is it a certain cylander each time or is it random?

The car has been in 5 times now and they can't get it fixed. Thousands have been spent under warranty repairs to no avail. This car has also had a number of other problems...car only has 3k on the clock.
