good experiences with windshield repair?

just got my arctic white s4.. tip excellent car.

windshield broke before i even took delivery- dealer put on due bill to replace windshield- i wanted to know your experiences with replacement windshield: water leaks?, creaks, rattles?

had one replaced on a mercedes years ago...

No need to worry..was good as new. No leaks, looked perfect.

Had 2 replaced on my A6, no problems

First one was an Audi windshield and it had some distortion in it. Second one was a PPG whindshield. No problem. I think the American glass is harder.

It's Not a Problem...

I done one in my current S4 and three in my former B5 S4. It's almost an annual expense if you ski a lot in Colorado.

Had them done on '98 A4 and '95 Porsche 993; no problems

Have heard of problems with others getting Porsche 993 windshields replaced.

Shop doing the work is the key.
