OK ,did the search. So has anyone ever used a coolant or oil heater on a 4.2 successfully?
I would love a coolant heater but that doesn't look like it is possible. No, I don't live in Alaska and don't "need" it, but keeping the engine at a relatively constant temp, aside from no warm up, reduces wear due to expanding and contracting parts due to temperature changes. On an engine as precise as ours this couod mean a lot.
Yes the convenience is great, I'm lazy.
Next choice is a heated garage and that is expensive right now. Also increases the snow melt in the garage and heats the rest of the neighborhood
