I halfway understand Audi's decision to not make the RS4 an Avant...

But i would really think it would be an excellent move if they did for one reason....

Speed World Challenge GT Series.
A few years ago the B5S4 4door sedan won it. Then the RS6 put the smack down in a fullsize 4door sedan. Now if Audi/Champion Motorsports would roll out a freaking Wagon and win races and championships in it, how cool would that be? (I'd even recommend them hauling actual groceries in the back during races)

C'mon Audi- just do it.

But there will be an Avant ... just not for the US market.

$$$$ issue...too expensive to federalize another model

Payback isn't big enough for limited production...same rationale for why we didn't get the RS6 Avant.

I agree...but I'm biased. We should take this one step further...

Since my friends give me sh*t about it all of the time, it would be even <i>cooler</i> if Audi raced a wagon with a real kid strapped into the back seat.
