caught myself admiring the engine this weekend and noticed that the engine block looks a little....

crooked. Is this supposed to be? I have had a 2005 S4 for a little over a week. It is a great car, but I am very meticulous over little details like this and other things (i.e. hot air when i want cold air conditioning, not being able to turn off 'econ' mode, side mirror not tilting back up after putting car in 'drive', etc.)

Let me know what you think about my engine situation...thnx.

Haven't noticed my engine being crooked (didn't somebody just ask this?)...

But your other "problems" are either a) normal, or b) nondescript. So your Econ light won't turn off?

Engine in crooked? Where?

Never noticed it.

As for the mirrors, they go back up, but only after above 10mph. If you really need them back up, just switch over the control and the mirror goes back up.

Not following you on the engine...pics?

I think I know what he means. If you look at the top of the engine and more

specifically the 4.2 V8 plates from the front of the car, the engine seems to be lower on the left then on the right. It is actually just the metal brackets that hold the 4.2 V8 badge, as the right one is higher. If you look at the intake plenum and put a level on it, it is relatively level.
