gas gauge acting strange

i tried the throttle adaptation thingy without vagtool. ever since... my gas gauge is off. when i fill up, reads half full for about 15 minutes, then slowly reaches full.

and i would normally get 185 miles out of a tank.. and now it tells me i am empty at 115. and i have been coddling the throttle to see if its my driving. definitely not.

any thoughts on what the issue is?

I'm confused..has your actual MPG changed, or is it falsely reading empty at 115 miles?

both. tank reads bone dry, when only 10 gallons used... but then

it bounces back to normal.. then back to low. its all over the place.

and actual mpg is off as well.

what does the DTE say when after you fill up?

'distance to empty' 15 miles...

but that goes down, and shoot up considerably. it willgo back to as high as 115.

I'd run a vag for fault code as a start
