How crucial is a wheel alignment after a steerig rack replacement? My dealer did not do one

No major damage but...
you will just wear your tires out alot quicker than normal. I didn't allign my car after my drop and about a 1200 miles later the inner edge of both front tires were worn pretty bad. 150 miles is nothing to worry about but dont delay the allignment more than that.

If your dealer did not do one, find another dealer. They obviously don't have a clue. Even when
Audi provides warrantee service, they also include a wheel alignment whenever any suspension our steering related parts need disassembling.
