Hey Jet Jockey - Odyssey battery related
Do tell us how the 15# Odyssey battery is holding up in the cold weather, as well as your particulars (i.e., is it garage kept etc, recent temps in your area, etc), since as far as I can tell, you and I are the only ones running them in COLD weather, but I suspect others might if we are sucessful.
Oh, and regarding that braket install - I WANT ONE!
I know you're not a machinist but a pilot with limited time, but I aint got the tools or skill to make one for myself 8-(
So I will beg yet again to buy one of these (unpainted). If you'd rather not, than say nothing, I understand - and will leave you alone on that matter...but do update us on your expereicens with the battery Tx, Art

Sorry to dissapoint you, but I decide not to leave it in the car for the winter months, at least...
The very cold months. I do not want to take a chance with it. I will put it back in the car sometime in March only. The only reason I did this mod is because I compete with the car or else I would not have done it.
But for the good of the Audi community I might leave the battery outside today and tonight and try to start the car tomorrow morning with it. The car was outside last night and it fell to about 0 degree F overnight and I won't start it today so it will have two days of cold soak in it before I start it. This will be a one time shot and not a long term test.
Now on the battery mounting rack, I might be interested in making a few for others here but do understand that, it will work only with the Odyssey PC680 model because it was designed with that battery's size in mind.
Also I don't have an exact break down of the cost of doing this yet. I'll have to get back to you.
