Default Question for JDBlueAudiS4... RE: Strat Short shifter (CRAP??)
Thanks for the offer on the clips, i saw your thread after i had allready got some. I Noticed when putting the new one on they slid off as well. the perch where the ring sits had worn down and rounded off. One week of driving every other day and its toast???? Doesnt seem right to me. Any Ideas on whats happening, you stated that you have done many of these, maybe you can help... Thanks!

Default I have never seen that before....
did you buy the SS used? Also how long has it been on the car? Also make sure the asembly is put together properly or there might be to much pressure on that clip

Just take a thin file and "fix" the groove by making it a little deeper
