Need info about A3 computer please

Hi,
Could someone please tell me where I can find the computer on an A3? I want to install an alarm and have been told that I can use the remote that comes with the car to arm/disarm the alarm. I need to know where I can find the wiring to do this and what sort of interface is being used.

Which computer are you after?

If its the Engine ECU, That is located under the front tray infront of the windscreen, located almost in the center.

Thanks for your reply. I didn't know there was more than one computer but I will check that one out. I want to install an alarm and connect the arm/disarm output from the computer so I can use the remote for the central locking to also arm the alarm. Where is the other computer? If it's the Engine ECU under the bonnet then it must be for engine management so I think I would need the other one.
