Nope. 2007 (model year) RS4 will be the first. Later there will be others.

Conflicting info, and changes when I'd buy one...

I want the B7 S4, but if I bought one with a 50/50 split quattro, just to have them turn around and install the rear bias system right after my purchase, I'd be ticked.

I hope the story is right, but I doubt it.

So...

let me get this straight. Were looking at the 2007 S4 being the first car with the new Quattro, which will be released in the U.S. mid 2006?

That makes me a little reluctant to purchase a 2006 S4.

Answered my own questions

So the new B7 S4 will be the "first" U.S. bound Audi to feature this new 60% rear 40% front split Quattro.

Good news, that makes me feel more comfortable buying a B7 S4!
