You're A Dirty S4

My Dolphin Grey S4 Avant is only 3 weeks old and despite the garage to garage existence she's gettin' a little dusty. Surprisingly, my search through the archives and a post in the SoCal forum didn't reveal any clear choice for a reputable car wash / detailer in the Hollywood / Beverly Hills area. So my car is imploring me to ask our neighboring S4 owners (I've seen you out there) where do you go to get your car cleaned? Ideally, I'd like a place that I can go to twice a month and pay maybe $20 to $30 each time to get a reasonably thorough job and with complete confidence that they won't do any damage no matter how small. And yes I know about the place that did the free headlight adjustment. Ain't goin' there!

There's a great place about..

400 miles to the east.
Its my driveway. I've become an expert at keeping dolphin avants clean.

Touchless automat- $6-8. No scratches.

I usually just hit the touchless automat at my local gas station. It does a pretty decent job for $6-8. I went to a fancy car wash a few weeks after I bought my B7 and came away with micro scratches from towels used to dry my car. No way am I letting anyone touch it anymore. EVERYTHING shows up on a black paint job, but it sure looks cool.

That's a mighty fine lookin' automobile you got there...

I'd love to wash my car myself but lack the driveway. That and it seems to be a pretty uncommon practice here in LA. Given that everyone seems to detail, its surprising that no one has a good recommendation!

I used to do my A4 in London myself but that was after the only reasonable place in town put two long scratches in my rear window and then they had the nerve to deny it and refuse to pay for it.

Car Wash at 3rd and Edinburgh (just west of Fairfax) does a great job..

It's a Chevron gas staton, and car wash..Like most fanatics, I'll never send my car through the automated wash, but they do hand washes for $20, and for $30 they'll also slap a coat of wax on it - perfect for when I don't have time to do it myself. They even clean the inside of the wheels pretty well, not something you normally find.
