How often do you change your oil? Every 5K, 10K, 15K?

How often do you change your oil? Every 5K, 10K, 15K?

I had a B5 and followed the recommended every 10K and fried the turbo from oil sludge (Audi did pay for it though). I noticed that the same recommendations apply to the B7. I know we get synthetic now, but what do you personally do?

once a year, regardless of miles

Amsoil Series 2000, mind you, not an Audi--for my old A4, I was doing every 10k w/ Mobil 1.

The once a year is my ~18k/year Tacoma.

5K for normal driving conditions. After every race for other.

that's an overkill....

5k with sythetic is optimal and if you don't push your car too hard you could stretch to 10k

I'm an Audi Tech and it seems that most owners follow the 10k miles service intervals. Some owners will come in every 5k miles to do an oil change between services. I would recommend every 5k miles for an oil change with synthetic. Please go to you local dealer for this! Quick lube places use smaller filters on the 1.8t. Also these places usually don't put all your undertray screws back in.
