Default Stock 93 Octane Dyno of B7 A4 2.0T Quattro 6-Speed on the Mustang...

I used 93 Octane Shell fuel as always in this car. Well, the numbers are high just like some others we have seen. Very intersting. We kept looking at the dyno wondering if it was reading wrong, but we entered the current weather conditions correctly and sure enough a stock B6 A4 170bhp car dynod at 136whp on that dyno, so apparently Audi may have underated these cars. Perhaps so as not to take away from the V6 sales. Other suggestions?

I was told this dyno can correct for the gear used. Apparently this is the case.

Notice the 4th gear pull is only to 6200rpm. Well, I was going about 120mph on the dyno at the time and there was so much load, I just shut it down. I see why tuners are using 3rd.

I'll be dynoing my new programming in both 3rd and 4th as well.

Default Interesting, wonder what the numbers are with 91 octane

As I don't have 93 octane gas here (excluding 93 octane ethanol from Sunoco).

Default Since all dynos will give slightly different numbers, who knows...

We don't have 91 octane here. I'd guess about 10-20 hp less. Of course a diff. dyno will give different numbers so who knows what folks will get on the west coast. Another person told me they got almost the same numbers as me on 91 octane so that just shows you the difference between temps, dynos, car setup, blah, blah, blah. cheers! Mike

Default Oh wow...

Assuming 20% drivetrain loss, we would expect RWHP of around 160; 180 @ 10%. So the drivetrain is ultra-efficient, the gas is ultra-high-octane, the dyno is whack, or indeed these cars have 5-15 hp more than advertised.

Default Great work Sir we got very similar numbers on the Dynojet

<center><img src="http://www.ecodetuning.com/Pictures/B7A4STOCK/B7A4.jpg"></center><p>Approximately 172HP and 183lb/ft Torque to the wheels on 91Oct. I will also agree with you that the car does not do too well with the heat soak in 4th gear. Even with the dual factory Intercooler setup the intake temps go thought the roof. The reason behind this is that the dyno fans plain and simply can't duplicate 100+ mph driving conditions.
