Fuel efficiency
How much is the fuel efficiency that you guys get when the car is new for city driving? I wonder if its in its lows for a new car. Just crossed 500kms and its showing around 11L/100kms. Wonder if this is normal when the car is new. I have a 2l engine for A4 Avant

It really depends on your driving
The more frequent the stop and go the worse your mileage. In long distance driving you can probably get about 30mpg or higher. In mixed city/highway driving, while driving like a granny, I could get almost 28mpg. I get about 20-22 city driving or worse.
The mileage reported from the EPA is not really represent a true driving environment as it goes through a series of defined tests.

i used to go about 30 mpg when i first got my car. but i became more and more cavalier with it and now i only get about 20 even with highway driving :P the sound of the engine is totally worth the few extra $$

I think apart from the driving style, lots also depends on the engine. But 20 on highway sounds way over the top. I guess the snarl from the engine on those higher revs must be worth every penny you burn

I got 35.5 mpg on the way to work the other day, 31.1 on the way home, I can't wind it up (too much traffic and or cops) so I just go with the flow I hit about 8 stop lights on the way 14 miles at about 45 mph
