Eibach Pro Kit on B7 Avant
Car sits perfectly now - not too low, not too tall, but just right. It rides ever so slightly stiffer than stock, but its 100% wife/girlfriend friendly.
Now, on to the install. First and foremost, that rear suspension is retarded
Sorry to say, but there are WAY too many steps needed to drop the springs out of the factory location. Yes when you read it on paper it sounds easy...but dropping the whole rear lower subframs? Dumb if you ask me, but oh well. My 350Z has a very similar rear suspension to the Audi. Once the shocks are taken out, you can pry the lower control arm/spring perch down enough to get the spring out...not so on the Audi. I had read that the rear was easier to do than the front...not so IMHO. Fronts were done (taken apart and reinstalled) in under an hour....the rear took a bit longer. All in all, took a few minutes over 2 hours to do them, but the rear is not fun.I'm going to measure front toe and rear camber tomorrow side to side and see where things ended up...if way out of whack, I'll realign next week...if not, I likely won't bother.
Pics tomorrow AM..I promise!
But for now, the springs are awesome.....absolutely love them
When doing the rear, just do one side at a time, unbolting the subframe and then using a pry bar to pull it down a little bit more and then pull the spring out. Then put a jack underneath it to push it back up and then gun the bolts back on and you're done - similar to a rear axle truck or suv. The fronts took a little longer, only because you need to unbolt the upper arms from the car and pull the entire assembly out. I guess I'm used to working on Hondas where you just pull the shock/spring assembly out rather than the entire arm, but it still wasn't that hard.
Can't wait to see pics. If I could have, I would have gotten the Pro Kit springs since I know it would have left maybe a 1-finger gap (stock sport suspension was about a 2-finger gap). Since I got my Sportlines for free, I just used those and it actually leave a 0-finger gap. Not dumped looking, but just no fender gap. IMO, I think it looks good with spacers pushing the offset out. But without spacers, the stock wheels should look good with the Pro Kit drop.

We are getting Noah-esque rain out here...been raining for what feels like forever, so have not had a chance to give it a good look, but from my cursory check after it was done, I have a 2 finger gap all around, which for me is perfect....lower than stock, much sportier, but plenty of travel still.
Any pics with your spacers?
