Single Front Mount, more efficient than the duals in our cars.

Single front mount...perhaps because of the transverse engine mounting?

With the transverse you had the single mounted intercooler which also netted out to a bit better power output as zerin mentions (re.: 1.8T TT and 1.8T A4). Also with the transverse there is no way (currently) to use the torsen differential, have to use the haldex.
