switching the stock bumper piece with a license plate one

I am in NY and have a 2005.5 A4 2.0TQ 6M.

Got it in FL and need to replace the center bumper piece with one that has the license plate cut out. Has anyone done this??

Any suggestions or tips would be appreciated...

I'm ABOUT to - I ordered my fill plate from ECS tuning. I'm in NY as well and I'm getting rid of the plate holder. It takes SO much away from the nose of the car. I'll let you know what's involved once I do it. It's been POURING for about eight days now so I'm hoping tomorrow might let up enough for me to do the swap.

it's 6 screws, easy access from front

I am also in NY. Even if you get rid of the plastic bumper insert that fits the plate, you can't get rid of the plate, so what's the point? What am I missing?

You can do whatever you want... its whether or not you want to risk getting a ticket. I guess it all depends on how badly you want the nose of your a4 to look as it was designed initially - CLEAN

I did it today - absolutely simple - six screws out, six screws back in...that's all I think it took me longer to unpack the piece and get my screwdriver than the whole uninstall/reinstall
