im gonna do it once some other companies come out with their software...
nothing against apr but their software now seems to deliver less than I originally thought when you take into consideration what we've learned about the 2.0T powerplant over the last few days. Who knows maybe they'll release a v2 like they did on the B6 but its prolly wiser to wait for some other manufacturers so you have something to compare.
As far as i know, neuspeed is the only other company with software out for our cars.

It's simple: it seems our cars put out more HP & Torque than advertised, which means that APR's advertised gains are potentially not that much over stock, again, because we've got more than 200 HP. Now, this is all assumption, but it is the result of independent dyno tests by some members and the numbers don't add up, even with ridiculous drivetrain loss assumptions.
Maybe APR's gains are still relatively the same, but the situation is confusing now.

I had APR on my 1999.5 A4 1.8TQTip and it was awesome!!
Just got a B7 A4 2.0TQ6M and it Rocks with the APR programing. I got the switchable programing and lock out (for dealer protection)
v2 will only be better and with free upgrades what are you waiting for?????

APRs gains are still about 29whp on 93 octane which isnt bad...
It's just that now we really need to look at the gains of each manufacturer in whp instead of chp since we cant use the 200chp as a comparison factor for baseline runs.
For example, if we used 220chp to compare the APR 185whp and 214whp baseline and modified runs, we'd get that apr is making about 254chp which is probably about right if the stock car makes 220chp.
If we were to use the 200chp rating, it would show them making only 231chp, which is probably pretty low although would be an industry standard way of doing things and if everyone does it that way than the results might not be accurate, but they would at least be able to be compared from one manufacturer to another. Since companies aren't doing this, we just need to look at the whp gains for each company.
