New A4 - quick intro...
Hey all.. been lurking for a little while, trying to decide on what car to buy. I was trying to decide between an 06 330i, A4 2.0t, and an RX8. I know the RX is sort of the oddball, but it's supposed to be a lot of fun to drive.
Finally, I decided on an 05.5 A4
- 2.0t Quattro 6MT.
- Black on Black
- Premium package
- Technology package
- Sport package
- Luxury package
- Nav
- Premium Audio w\Sirius
- Cold weather package
Man... I love this car... everything about it. If I were to nit-pick, I'd have to say the ebrake hitting the arm rest is about the only thing that bugs me.
I plan on a few minor mods... tint and chip this fall, coilovers and rims\wheels next spring.
Anyway, just want to say hi!

Welcome aboard Jason! Much like you, I considered the 330i too...
i test drove it and although it seemed pretty quick, I went with the A4 for all the creature comforts and Quattro. Of course I am a little biased considering I am now a 4 time vag car owner!
I agree with you on the ebrake. It was a problem on the B6 and obviously wasnt fixed but thats really minor. Good luck with the car and post pics if and when you can.

Yeah, this is #4 for me as well...

and now the A4.
I work at MS, and it seems everyone has a Bimmer. I like the fact the A4 is less common. I'll post some pics when I have a chance. Though, for now, it looks just like every other black sport packaged A4.

I agree the ebrake hitting the arm rest and then having to adjust it everytime is a pain. But they did get the cupholders right this time!!

E-Brake = no problem
the armrest is kept in the upright position on my M6. Same on my 2002 B6 A4. I only lower it on long-distance runs, where the e-brake is not used.
I noticed that on the BMW. the armrest was not even height adjustable.

I solved my E-Brake Problem...
I just traded my '03 5 Speed Manual for a ,05.5 6 Speed Tip . I also looked at the BMW, but whatever I looked at, I kept going back to the A4. I told the salesman that the BMW would have to be considerably less on a payment than the A4 before I would even consider it. My dealer sells Audi, BMW, MB, Lexus, and Infinity. So It was very easy to comparison shop.
