with Tip...before going to complete stop with N(eutral) gear: there's always a noticeable "jerk"

from the transmission.
ie. i used to put the car to N before complete stop at the light; however, there always a jerking feel from the transmission.
Have any of you guys noticed that?

no...but why put an AT car into neutral while coming to a stop?

ya, my car does it sometimes when i come to an abrupt stop. i hope its normal

bad habit?? (was driving stick for about 10+ yrs... and right before complete stop, i always

put the gear in neutral)
Well... i've driven a lot of automatic tranny as well (at rentals, friends', etc etc), but in my past 15+ yrs of driving experience... non of the car happened like that.

sorry i've been driving stick too..but thats just silly..it's an AUTOMATIC...

there is no need at all to put it in neutral.....in fact you might me doing DAMAGE to the tranny since it wasnt designed for what you are doing (who knows)
