Warning: My car locked me out of it today with the engine running.
I have no idea what happened but I got out of my car this morning to go check to make sure the front door was locked on my house. The engine was running and the door shut. Normally, no big deal right? You just go back and open the door and be off on your merry way. Not for me this morning... All 4 doors locked, and would not open. The LED on the door was not flashing but somehow the locking system locked the doors. I called Audi Roadside and they came and got into the car for me...but still this should have NEVER EVER happened. I'm taking the car to the dealer this weekend to have it scanned.... ugh.

that is unusual - if you unlock your car with your remote - but do not open the door is X amount of
time it will relock.
But in your case - you probably unlocked your car with the remote - started the car - and then opened the door and then closed the door. Should not have done it.

Happened to me once too
Stopped in our cul-de-sac (with engine running) to get the mail and when I went to get back in, the doors were locked. Fortunately it was spring and my window was down. I figured I maybe hit the lock switch? Dunno, I'd only had the car for maybe 2 weeks then and I was still getting used to it. However, now when I stop to get the mail I always leave the door open.
