I don't think we'll see that unless the S4 starts putting out RS4 numbers
Audi is going to maintain a "performance spread" across their model line. They have to unless they intend to thin the line and all indications the opposite is going to happen.

Audi left the HP race so they say. I think they will do what makes money. But I think they
should make cars with motors with the potential of the B5S$ except more reliable in stock form. Audi is known for producing a killer. Just get the chassis right all that ****. Not that they arent 4 door cars just that they... well the R8 is coming. just needs a biturbo V8 that will handle triple the stock HP.

2nd....My stage 2+ s4 had much more horsepower than my Chipped
2.0t B7, but the chassis dynamics and technology (adaptive headlights, Blue Tooth) and styling more than make up for the 50+ HP loss.
