Default Question for all 2.0T owners

First off, I went for the APR 91 flash about a month ago. Totally love the new driving dymanic of the car. As many have already stated, it simply feels like the car doesn't run out of breath as fast.

I searched the forum but no satisfactory answers. Last weekend, I took the wifeys TT to get detailed and driving around town, my butt dyno tells me that it seems a bit smoother (it's the 6MT 225 HP 1.8T engine). I also notice that the clutch seems harder to depress but that the tranny doesn't jerk as much.

1) How much of the difference is from the K04?

2) Does the TT have larger injectors than my B7?

What I would really like to do is replicate the driving characteristics of the TT engine in my B7. The TT's handling will be a different story factoring in the size and weight differences (although with $$, anything is possible).

Any thoughts.

Default Different engines

Injectors for the 2.0T is for the higher pressure for the FSI. Turbocharger, BorgWarner took the previous K03 flavour that was used in the 1.8T and improved on it - better efficiency and less plasticity during heat cycles.

Default Understand - thanks. The 225 TT has a K04 unlike standard 1.8Ts

I previously owned two 1.8T engines (in VWs) and know what a K03 feels like in such. Driving the TT with a K04 has a much different feel (acceleration). With APR, my B7 is more similar, but doesn't quite feel as smooth.

Default 225 has forged crank and KO4 in a 1.8T. The 2.0T is of course K03

and FSI. But what is it your question? exactly.
The TT has greater tuning ability and makes good power with just a chip because of the K04's but the 2.0T has K04 out and a RS kit on the way.

Default Also take into account the mileage of the two cars

Not sure how many miles you've racked up, but remember after 10-15k the engine smooths out quite a bit, especially from a brand new one. The tt probably has many more ticks on the clock.

Default Thanks all. Only have 3.5K miles on B7, TT has 20K.

Also, I realized that I have been comparing the B7 to the TT on very cold mornings (at least for Norcal) and since I do not have a long commute, the engine never completely warms up. After driving all day yesterday, on a fully warmed engine, it felt much smoother. I most likely forgot how the car felt in warmer temps.

I will keep in mind that it will continue to get smoother as I drive it more

Sorry, had a B7 noob panic attack.
