Default Satellite radio installation question.

Recently installed an XM sat receiver in my A4. Followed instructions on forum link but not getting full function. There was only one antenna lead in the wire bundle, the green one, no brown. After turning on the radio and selecting sat, "antenna" shows up in display. The reception seems fine and all channels work. I also don't get all the information that is usually available via the info button. It is a non Bose. I thought these cars were fully pre-wired for sat. Do I have to install a second antenna that fits in the brown lead to get full functionality? Any help is well appreciated.

For some reason most new symphony a4's are only coming with 1 antenna lead. your car will show antenna until you connect 2 antenna's to your satellite module. i had this same issue. you will need a Terk Splitter model "SIR SP" look it up. This will split your one antenna into 2 for the module.

Default Is your car a 2007?

There's some speculation that, in the switch to Sirius-only, Audi started leaving out some of the parts necessary to install XM.

My new 2007 A4 S-Line came with both leads, wonder why there is a difference. I have the Symphony head unit.

Default Didn't the 07's come with a SIRIUS "F"

That is the SIRIUS reciever part # with a "F" on the end for '07. Maybe this unit only needs one antenna lead. Were there any early '07's built to accept XMs? Maybe that is why some have 2 leads. My SIRIUS receiver - the orginal one- accepts 2 leads.

I put mine in this afternoon. All 4 connections were there. I had to take move the CAN BUS located behind the kick panell. Do you only have three connections?

Default Could you please post the status after you install the splitter
