Service due in 800 miles indicator
I've got a 2006 A4 2.0T quattro and it has 9,200 miles on it. According to the owner's manual the first service is at 5,000 miles and the second one is at 15,000 miles or one year after the 5K. Any reason my would be indicating that service is due at 10k? It hasn't been a year since my 5K.

I think most dealers don't bothered to change the interval from 5k to 10k after the 5k service.
You can reset the "countdown" of the interval yourself (what Tanner said), but you can't "change" the interval without VAG-COM.
