CEL came on tonight...
The car still drove the same, didn't hear any noises. And yes, the gas cap was closed.
So basically I'm just frustrated because I have no idea why the CEL came on. I'm gonna call the dealer tomorrow and try to take it in. I'm still in the warranty period, so I'm not too worried about it - I just hope its not something that keeps my car in the shop for too long.
alright...enough of me talking...this is a pointless post since I have no idea what is wrong...sorry.
Got the codes pulled and it was some manifold valve stuck in the open position, and after a while searching for what this did, it basically closed partially at low RPMs to aid in better fuel economy and wide open at higher RPMs. So since it wasn't critical I just scheduled an appointment with them to get it replaced under warranty.
Dealer will need to hook up their VAGCOM to read the codes then go from there.
