Why does name come up on incoming phone calls only sometimes?

Why does name come up on incoming phone calls only sometimes?
All names are in phonebook and I can scroll through them. I always get the number but only sometimes name and number..Anyone else?

I had to match the numbers in my contacts to exactly how they show in the RNS-E example...
The numbers on my phone show as 1-xxx-xxx-xxxx so if I put them that way in the address book it works fine. Depending on what state I am in as sometimes numbers don't show that way in different states (not quite sure why). That seems to work for me

Does the dealer do this firmware update?
My Bluetooth integration is inconsistent. Sometimes the phone book is available, sometimes not. Sometimes the signal strength is displayed, sometimes not. I'm not impressed with the system as a whole. Hopefully it's improved since I bought my car in 2006.
